Our Southern Border.
You know, the one President Biden and his Department of Homeland Security Secretary alejandro mayorkas spent the last three years telling us was secure – as millions upon millions of illegals crossed it and entered our country. The one Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed “Border Czar” to address…and did exactly nothing to address it in any serious way.
But once former President Donald Trump announced he would be visiting the border? Suddenly, as if by magic, Joe Biden decided it was important enough to visit the southern border as well.
On the same day. Today.
But there is a tiny little difference.
Trump is visiting the Eagle Pass, Texas station and Biden is visiting the Brownsville, Texas station.
In the past five days, Eagle Pass has recorded 2,106 encounters with illegals crossing our border (and an unknown number of “getaways” – i.e. crossers who evaded our border people).
By contrast, in the past five days Brownsville – where Texas Governor Abbott put up razor wire barriers to stop the invasion – has recorded just 46 encounters about 98% fewer than Eagle Pass.
This is Biden’s big visit? And we are supposed to take him seriously???
What is he going to do? Show people how few illegals there are at Brownsville and brag that he has accomplished something?
I see this as a test. A test to gauge just how stupid, how gullible, how misinformed the average voter is.
And – boy do I hope I’m right – I strongly believe that, other than the political partisans who will find a reason, however outlandish, to accept what Biden is tossing out from the statement his puppeteers will have scripted, most will see right through this.
Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) certainly does. Here is his reaction:
“What it says is that Biden doesn’t care. This is total contempt for the American people…for Joe Biden to go stand in some parking lot three years after he opened the border and say “oh, see, look, y’know, it’s really working, my policies are working”, this is an outrage. It is the middle finger to middle America, and it’s time he was held to account for it.”
Is Hawley right? Is his comment fair?
If your answer is no, explain please. Because, to me, every word rings true.
More on this after the Trump and Biden visits are completed.
