The fallout from New York State District Attorney letitia james and Judge arthor engoron’s sick joke of a ruling against Donald Trump continues.
Grand Cardone is an extraordinarily successful investor/entrepreneur, with a net worth of about $4 billion dollars.
I think it would be fair to say that he has shown himself to be a pretty astute investor; one who knows where to put his money…and where not to.
With the above in mind, please read these excerpts from Joey Solitro’s article at msn.com:
Grant Cardone to Team: “Immediately Discontinue All Underwriting on New York City Real Estate”
Grant Cardone is less than pleased with the ruling against former Donald Trump, in which Trump has been ordered to pay $355 million in penalties plus interest. If Trump were to pay the full amount of the penalty today, it would cost him roughly $450 million.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Grant Cardone said, “Dear Cardone Capital team, Immediately discontinue ALL underwriting on New York City real estate. The risk outweigh the opportunities at this time. Recent political decisions will continue to deteriorate price and benefit states that don’t have these challenges. Focus on Texas & Florida.”
Cardone’s comments echo what Kevin O’Leary said in a recent interview, calling the decision to fine Trump “unjust,” “appalling,” and “Un-American.”
“That fact that he was found guilty, you might as well find guilty every real estate developer on Earth,” O’Leary said.
Those are two very high-profile major investors who see this insane, vindictive kangaroo-court proceeding as a huge red flag; one that that makes the already-difficult New York investment marketplace a no-go.
How many other investors do you suppose there are who feel the same way? Who, without media fanfare, have come to the same conclusions as Mr. O’Leary and Mr. Cardone, and are making similar decisions?
But, hey, so what? Major congratulations are in order for letitia james and arthur engoron. you GOT him…at least until this joke of a ruling is overturned. Isn’t that just GREAT?
I mean, heck, letitia, and her boss, Governor Kathy Hochul, could have spent time dealing with New York City’s out of control crime, or the other conditions that are causing residents – disproportionately among the imperative tax-base population segment – flee New York for safer and less financially onerous destinations.
But why deal with trifles like that when you can get a compromised judge to destroy his own reputation and nail Donald Trump – at least until the appeal process goes forward and a higher court notices that no one else has ever been convicted on these charges without any complainants, and with the people who supposedly would be defrauded testifying that Trump and his people did nothing out of the ordinary?
Wheee, this is FUN. Too bad it’s taking down the city and the state, though. Oh, well…..
