Today’s quote comes to us from alejandro mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security selected by Joe Biden (or, more exactly, the puppeteers running Joe Biden’s administration).
Here, so help me I have not made this up as a ridiculous satire, is mayorkas’ explanation of why his efforts (you might be wondering WHAT efforts) at fixing our southern border have been a problem:
“It is taking time and it is difficult because the entire system was dismantled by the prior administration. There was a system in place that was torn down by the Trump administration.”
Well, there you go, folks. Everything was just fine at the border until Trump took office. And that’s when it all went blooey.
Except….
…how do you suppose mayorkas reconciles that claim with this chart?
Hmmmmm.
Maybe it’s just me, but it sure looks like there was a lot less of a border problem under Trump than there has been under Biden…
…and, concomitantly – as we kids used to say growing up in Queens – it sure looks like mayorkas is so full of shit his eyes are brown.
I therefore award alejandro mayorkas Quote Of The Day (dis)honors for, again as he has repeatedly ever since becoming Homeland Security Secretary, looking us in the eyes and lying to our faces.
(Then again, why should he be different than most of the other liars in this administration?)
