HILLARY CLINTON & MILLENNIAL WOMEN

Ken Berwitz

Millennial women are generally defined as women born in the 1980\’s who reached adulthood around 2000 or shortly thereafter.

Politically, this means that not only are they old enough to be 68 year old Hillary Clinton\’s daughters, they are almost all older than Hillary Clinton\’s actual daughter, who was born February 27, 1980.

Now:  how does Hillary Clinton connect with them?

Well, let\’s see:  On gender, she\’s got a lock.  Right now, no other women are running Democrat for the Presidential nomination.  And since Ms Clinton, like most leftward Democrats, has no problem separating us by our demographic characteristics (race and gender foremost among them), that makes her a “winner” right from the starting gate.

Even on age, she wins handily over her two current main rivals, Bernie Sanders (74) and Joe Biden (almost 73).

So what\’s the problem?  Why should there be a problem?  Why shouldn\’t Hillary Clinton own millennial women?  Why is Hillary Clinton so concerned about her standing with them that she has taped an “interview” with Lena Dunham, the harder-than-hard left creator and star of the slutty HBO series “Girls”?

I guess it must not be her gender or her age.  I guess it must be Ms. Clinton.

Look, I don\’t blame Hillary Clinton for taking desperate measures.  One look at her poll numbers will tell you why.

But if she thinks that talking to Lena Dunham – with a cameo appearance by the raunchy comedian Amy Schumer – will raise her standing among millennial women – especially given that the show has toppled significantly in the ratings (how many times can you look at Lena Dunham nude and not quickly reach for the remote control?) she and her people really do have no clue at all.
