An underreported aspect of the war on police is thewidespread desecration of fallen officer memorials throughout the country. Theincrease in vandalism of police memorials directly corresponds to the increasein anti-police movements and protests. Since the formation of the Black LivesMatter Movement memorials honoring officers killed in the line of duty havebeen attacked in Philadelphia, Chicago, Fresno, Denver, New Orleans, Oakland,Austin, Rochester NY, Covington KY, Fayetteville AR and Raleigh NC. Vandalismhas involved everything from graffiti, toppling granite, burning to destroyinga metal torch in order to extinguish the eternal flame. Fallen firefighter,9/11, Veteran and Confederate memorials have also been vandalized. Dozens ofconfederate monuments across the country were attacked in the summer 2015during the confederate flag controversy, many spray painted with the wordsblack lives matter.
Attacks on fallen officer memorials are the inevitable result of protestmovements who emphasize oppression, racism and police brutality. Black LivesMatters messaging methodically inculcates feelings of humiliation, shame,powerlessness and anger in their followers then directs those feelings at lawenforcement. The monuments must be destroyed, mutilated and burned because theyglorify and praise oppressors who humiliate and mock them.
Exploiting thefrustrations of young people and programming them to be hypersensitive to realor imagined insult is a proven strategy for inciting violence.
-They are afraid that reporting this will cause Black activists to accuse them of being racists….which, for no good reason, since the term has been so completely trivialized by said activists, they still fear;-So many within mainstream media are in sympathy with what the #blacklivesmatter haters are doing, that they don\’t want the public to find out about it;-Since the Democrat Party as an entity, and Hillary Clinton in particular, have endorsed #blacklivesmatter, many media people are afraid that, by reporting these desecrations, it will make Democrats look bad, causing them to lose votes to (gasp) Republicans.
