Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws of any major city in the United States. Maybe the strictest of all.
This past weekend, there were 45 shootings in Chicago, leaving at least 8 dead (as of now).
So far in 2015, there have been 2,206 recorded shootings in Chicago, resulting in 328 deaths.
Here are the data, by race:
Race Victim Assailant Black 278 62 Hispanic 62 16 White/Other 13 7 Police – 5 Unknown 6 – As of 9/14/15
Tell me – and I\’m not just asking you, I\’m also asking Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his virtually all-Democrat city council (49 out of 50): How many of these shootings and killings were done with legally obtained and registered guns?
And when you finish not answering, here\’s another question: How many more gun control laws – which, by definition, can only affect people who legally obtain and register their guns – would have prevented these shootings and killings?
There\’s your update.
Oh, one other thing. To the people of Chicago: you keep electing one-party government, and it will never change for the better.
Have a nice day.
