As recently as a few weeks ago, if you had asked me what I thought of Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, I would have told you he is a complete incoherent mess. A stroke victim with clinical depression who has not recovered well, cannot put more than a couple of sentences together (sometimes not even a couple), who is borderline incoherent and who has no business staying in the senate.
But that was then. And this is now.
I don’t know whether that stroke and the hospital time for clinical depression have had anything to do with it, but suddenly not only is Mr. Fetterman coherent, he has gone from spouting hard left dogma to taking positions that make mainstream sense to me…which puts him appreciably to the right of the current Democrat Party.
Suddenly John Fetterman is front and center…
-talking up the securing of our southern border, and
–strongly supporting Israel in its efforts to rid Gaza of hamas., and
–demanding that Democrat Senator Robert Menendez – who apparently has no problem taking bribes – resign or be kicked out of the U.S. Senate.
What the %*#^ happened here?
Is Senator Fetterman’s moderate-almost-Republican series of stances a temporary occurrence? Is he going to revert back to the hard-left incoherent mess he started as?
Or has a most improbable butterfly emerged from the leftward Democrat Party cocoon he had been residing within until just recently.
Time will tell. But, for the moment, I couldn’t be happier with John Fetterman’s metamorphosis…and hope it is where he stays for the rest of his time in the Senate.
