2016: Barbara Streisand, speaking of the possibility Donald Trump would win the presidential election that year:
“He has no facts. I don’t know, I can’t believe it. I’m either coming to your country [Australia], if you’ll let me in, or Canada.”
2023: Barbara Streisand, speaking of the possibility Donald Trump will win the presidential election next year:
“I will move. I can’t live in this country if he became president…probably to England. I like England.”
At this point you might be wondering where Barbra Streisand was living between the time Donald Trump won the 2016 election and now.
The answer: unless her luxury mega-estate in Malibu, California magically moved to a different country – maybe England, she likes England – she was living in California.
So what about her now seven year old claim that she was on her way to Australia or Canada in 2016? The one that turned out to be a hot steamy load of what a bull produces after a good meal?
Well, we’re still waiting for an answer.
Hey, maybe she can record a new version of that terrific song she sang 50 years ago for the movie she starred in with Robert Redford. But instead of “The Way We Were”, its title could change to “The Way I Wasn’t”.
And in case you think she’s the only one, here’s a list of her, and 19 other entertainment people who said they were leaving too. See if you can figure out how many actually did (as if you don’t already know).
Hey, maybe Barbra Streisand can record a new version of that terrific song she sang 50 years ago for the movie she starred in with Robert Redford and dedicate it to herself and the other 19 expatriot no-shows. Instead of “The Way We Were”, she could chage its title to “The Way I Wasn’t”.
Just ask, Babs, and I’ll help you with the lyrics…
