You are a major retail/pharmaceutical chain. And you have a store where there is massive shoplifting every day…with the “law” (in name only) doing nothing about it. What do you do?
Well, here, via Will Potter’s article for London’s Daily Mail, is the last gasp effort by a CVS in Washington D.C.:
See that? No items at all on the shelves. Only pictures of items. You want to buy something, you have to ask a store employee…assuming there still are employees not scared away by the lawlessness.
How long before shoplifters, frustrated by the lack of items to steal, take the pictures of items they used to steal as well.
CVS is talking about closing 900 stores nationwide. Where do you suspect the preponderance of closings will be? And what do you think CVS will be accused of when they close them?
But that’s ok. It’s “woke”, so it must be great. Right?
