The United Nations Relief Works Administration (UNRWA). Teachers of hatred in general and anti-semitism in particular. Poisoning the minds of Gazan children year after year. And, under Joe Biden, funded more completely by the United States than any country in the world.
When Donald Trump was President he cut off funding to Gaza, on the grounds that it was being used for little other than to militarize, kill Jews, and teach hatred to Gazan children.
But when Joe Biden became President, his mission – or, more exactly, the mission of the far-leftists who control him, thus his presidency – was to undo whatever Trump did, even if it made sense and was beneficial. So in less than three months, that funding was restored and is in place to this day.
How much do we contribute? Just last year, it was $344 million dollars – about 28% of the UNRWA’s entire budget. In total, the Biden administration has handed this purveyor of hate almost 3/4 of a billion dollars.
And what is the money being used for? From Josh Christenson and Diana Glebova’s article for the New York Post:
The Biden administration has funneled more than $730 million to a United Nations organization for refugee assistance in the West Bank and Gaza Strip that harbored personnel who have incited violence against the Jewish people, The Post has learned.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has been accused in recent years of employing educators who “regularly call to murder Jews” and teach from textbooks “that glorify terrorism, encourage martyrdom, demonize Israelis and incite antisemitism,” according to a March joint report by the non-governmental organization UN Watch and the Israeli non-profit Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education.
The US can’t legally provide money directly to the Palestinian Authority or the terror group Hamas, which last weekend carried out the worst civilian massacre in the state of Israel’s 75-year history.
The State Department has nevertheless provided grants and other funding to organizations in the area, despite experts bemoaning the lack of “guardrails” and internal documents noting “a high risk” that Hamas could benefit from the money dump.
The above article references a March report from UN Watch. I strongly urge you to read it. But, for the moment, here is its headline and first paragraphs:
UN Teachers Call To Murder Jews, Reveals New Report
WASHINGTON, March 14, 2023 — Teachers and schools at the UN agency that runs education and social services for Palestinians regularly call to murder Jews, and create teaching materials that glorify terrorism, encourage martyrdom, demonize Israelis and incite antisemitism, reveals a new report by two independent research and monitoring groups.
The joint report, to be presented today in a meeting at the U.S. Congress as it considers new legislation in the House and the Senate to cut funding for UNRWA, uncovers 47 new cases of incitement by UNRWA staff, in breach of the agency’s stated policies of zero tolerance for racism, discrimination or antisemitism in its schools and educational materials.
The report is a joint publication by United Nations Watch, an independent non-governmental human rights organization, and the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se), an international research and policy institute that analyzes school curricula through UNESCO-defined standards of peace and tolerance.
The institutional teaching materials created by UNRWA’s own education departments and staff include over 300 pages of content labeled for use between 2021-2023, obtained from at least five separate and freely available open-source platforms, spanning grades 5, 6, 7 and 9 across 10 verified UNRWA schools.
The material carries UNRWA’s logo and the names of its schools and lists contributing UNRWA staff. They include school principals, vice principals, educational experts and teachers, who are all signed off on the violent and antisemitic content.
These materials have been kept off UNRWA’s new Digital Learning Platform which UNRWA claims is the sole source of learning materials self-produced by UNRWA. Yet they were distributed to hundreds of students through various platforms and channels, and taught in classrooms.
How in god’s name, you might ask, could Joe Biden OK payments of over three quarters of a billion dollars to this group, for this purpose?
The best thing I can think of in response is that he is doddering, in a state of senility (which seems to be increasing quickly) and didn’t understand that his puppeteers were telling him to spend money this way. The worst thing I can think of is that he’s all in with the UNRWA teaching children to hate and kill.
Tell me: which of these two possibilities is the good one?
Regardless of what the reasons are, however, the policy remains in place. The United States continues to be the single biggest financial supporter of what is poisoning children in Gaza.
Isn’t it about time – way past time – that this end? Isn’t it about time for Biden & Co. to decide that defunding the teaching of hate to children is more important than undoing a Trump decision, even when it made perfect sense?
Not yet, apparently.
And as long as our mainstream media continue to hide these facts from the public (other than the New York Post and a very few other media venues, have you seen or heard a thing about this), it is going to continue.
