SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE: THE DEMOCRAT CHOICE

House Democrats now have a choice.  They can either allow the Republicans to elect Rep. Jim Jordan or Rep. Steve Scalise as the new Speaker Of The House, or use some of their 208 votes to pick the one they prefer.

When they make that choice, I hope they will reflect on the fact that both Jordan and Scalise, while not hard-rightists, are certainly further to the right and less disposed to work with Democrats than Kevin McCarthy…

…the guy they could have kept as Speaker with just 2% of their votes, but preferred instead to vote as a unit against him, so they could make political hay out of the claim that Republicans (who voted over 96% for McCarthy) were responsible for his loss.

Fortunately for them our wonderful “neutral” media, with precious few exceptions, are choosing not to notice their politics-uber-alles behavior…as usual.
