Hamas has invaded Israel, and fired thousands of rockets into Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. At least 22 Israelis are known dead and, in all likelihood, a good many more as well.
UPDATE: Latest estimates, as of about 8:25AM EST, are at least 40 dead and almost 800 wounded.)
Israel will now attack in retaliation.
And the world, if history is any indicator, will condemn Israel for doing so (see, Israel is an apartheid state and brought it on itself) and demand that the retaliation be “proportionate” (in other words, hamas’s actions/success levels should guide what Israel does; how dare those Jews try to go further).
But, this time, that is NOT what is going to happen.
So you can bet that when Israel hits Gaza – and possibly Judea and Samaria (the west bank) back, on its terms, not the enemy’s terms, it will be fully condemned by the world…
…and, you can bet, that condemnation will be echoed by the Jew-hating, Israel-hating members of the Democrat Party, who are not only tolerated within that party but celebrated.
I hope Israel wreaks major destruction on every target it aims for. And while I hope Israel aims for non-civilian targets, I also hope – expect – it will not hesitate to also hit targets that have intentionally been placed in civilian areas, effectively making civilians there human shields. First and foremost, Israel must protect its citizens. Responsibility for the civilians who die because their leaders don’t give a damn about them are on those leaders, not Israel.
Let the rest of the world condemn Israel for it. What has Israel got to lose; they regularly condemn Israel anyway.
If the rashida tlaibs and ilhan omars, and ayana pressleys and jamaal browns, and aoc’s of the Democrat Party don’t like it, that’s their problem – a problem I hope becomes huge in the next few days.
