WHEN NIMBY BECOMES IMBY: IT’S THE REPUBLICANS!!

Yep.  The crisis in major cities is a Republican plot.  Just ask the (hard-left Democrat) Mayor of Los Angeles.

Want to know how and why?  Here you go.

Since it is short, and largely consists of quotes from others, I am posting Daniel Greenfield’s latest commentary for frontpagemag.com in its entirety:

LA Mayor: Our Cities are a Mess Because of a Republican Conspiracy

“What they’re trying to do is destabilize cities.”

Whether it’s New York City or Martha’s Vineyard, no place actually wants to be a sanctuary city.

New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams warns that the tidal flood of illegal alien migrant invaders could destroy the city.

Chicago’s woke pro-crime Mayor Brandon Johnson warned, “Let me state this clearly: The city of Chicago cannot go on welcoming new arrivals safely and capably without significant support and immigration policy changes.”

And Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass lives in fear that the invaders will show up.

“What they’re trying to do is destabilize cities … it’s the narrative that these are Democratic-run cities and that we don’t know how to govern and that everything is chaotic here,” Bass told Axios’ Russell Contreras during Axios Visionarios in Los Angeles.

“We live in a city that welcomes immigrants, and so I think we have been able to handle it, but I am fearful that any day planes could start coming.”

The idea that LA or NYC is a mess because of some Republican conspiracy to destabilize cities is an interesting narrative.

Is this what they’re going with as their excuse?

We have homeless everywhere, out of control crime, and medieval diseases… because Republicans are trying to make us look bad?

Busing in illegal aliens is at least one thing that Bass and her ilk can somewhat blame Republicans for, but Bass is actually worried about ‘planes’. And the vast majority of illegals showing up are not being sent by Republicans. The Biden administration chose to keep the border open and to then transport illegals around the country. That’s not on Republicans, it’s on her party.

Hmmmmm.  Let’s think about this:

-Ignoring border security and federal law, the Biden administration has allowed millions and millions of illegals to enter this country.   We don’t know who they are, why they are coming here, whether they have good or bad intentions, whether they have communicable diseases, but here they are, courtesy of Biden & Co.;

-A very large number of these illegals have been transported around the country – with no public explanation of where or why.  But the fact remains that almost all of them are being allowed in to Texas (the single largest point of entry) and Arizona.

-Instead of simply absorbing as many illegals as the Biden administration leaves them, Texas in particular has been shipping some of them to major cities around the country – cities with Democrat Mayors who proudly announced their “sanctuary city” status, even though there is no such thing in federal law.

-But when more than an easily-manageable number of illegals (though a tiny fraction of the total coming in) were sent – in other words, when NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) became IMBY (In my Back Yard), all of a sudden the “sanctuary city” mayors are collectively having an apoplexy.  Why?  Because instead of it being someone else’s problem it is now also theirs.

-So what is the line of defense?  Not that allowing millions of illegals into the country is insanity personified – which it is – but that this is somehow a plot against them.  And, as Mayor Bass of Los Angeles suggests, a Republican plot.

So there you have it.  The tidal wave of illegals is due to those damn Republicans.

It is hard to see how they can try to sell this hot steamy load of bull droppings during next year’s elections.

Don’t think they won’t try.  And don’t think that our wonderful “neutral” media won’t help them.

I consider it a test of how dumb how many citizens of this country are.  My guess?  Not anywhere near as many as the Democrat left hopes there are.

As they used to say about the old Brooklyn Dodgers, I guess we’ll have to wait ’til next year to find out.
