Today’s quote comes to us from the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
President Biden was kind enough, yesterday, to take time off from his busy vacation schedule and spend a few hours in Maui looking at what was left of the Lahaina area.
Biden’s puppeteers try their level best to avoid putting their puppet in front of any group where he might have to do something other than read from a script. And that is what he did yesterday. Among the things he said:
“I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense — Jill and I — what it’s like to lose a home.
‘Years ago now — 15 years ago — I was in Washington doing ‘Meet the Press.’ It was a sunny Sunday and lightning struck at home on a little lake that is outside of our home — not on a lake, a big pond.
‘And it hit a wire and came up underneath our home into the heating ducts, air conditioning ducts. And to make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette and my cat.”
“the firefighters who responded) ran into flames to save my wife and save my family. Not a joke.”
Forgetting for just a moment that his “I don’t want to compare difficulties” preface was ridiculous – there was no other reason to bring it up – the incident as he recited it is a lie. Contemporaneous reports showed that, yes, there was a fire in the house. But it was contained in the kitchen, put out quickly, and there was never any danger to his wife or pet or car.
Chalk it up as another of the multitude of lies Biden recites over and over again about his life.
No, his son didn’t tie in Iraq. No, his wife and child weren’t killed by a drunk driver. No, he didn’t grow up with ties to Delaware’s Puerto Rican community. No, he didn’t get arrested several times marching for civil rights. No, he wasn’t told by a train conductor that he had ridden 1,000,000 miles (the conductor was not only retired, but had died before the year he hit 1,000,000). And on and on and on and on and on.
I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us that his continual stream of lies about his life remains unaffected by the proof that they are lies.
And a dishonorable mention to most mainstream media which – as they do virtually every time – hide his lies from public view/protect him from being seen as doddering/senile/in a state of dementia.
Illustratively, I watched the Today Show this morning and its report on Biden didn’t bother to mention this incident – which, I have little doubt – would outrage a great many of the people who lost their loved ones, and their homes, and their livelihoods.
The last thing on earth they need is a stupid comparison between their losses and some politician’s kitchen fire. But we’re talking about the borderline non compos mentis Joe Biden, so there it is.
