Hillary Clinton – or, more exactly, her army of operatives, advisors and influence-shapers – has/have decided that she should position herself as a champion of the middle class and the poor – i.e. the little people.
Assuming that, other than unconditional Hillary lovers who are impervious to reality, there still are some people who can rationalize her connection with these people, we have this, excerpted from Matea Gold\’s, Rosalind S. Helderman\’s and Anu Narayanswamy\’s article in today\’s Washington Post. The bold print is mine:
In one of her last gigs on the paid lecture circuit, Hillary Rodham Clinton addressed an eBay summit aimed at promoting women in the workplace, delivering a 20-minute talk that garnered her a $315,000 payday from the company.
Less than two months later, Clinton was feted at the San Francisco Bay-area home of eBay chief executive John Donahoe and his wife, Eileen, for one of the first fundraisers supporting Clinton\’s newly announced presidential campaign.
The two events spotlight the unusually close financial ties between Clinton and a broad array of industries that have issues before the government and paid millions of dollars to her and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, in the months preceding the launch of her presidential campaign.
Disclosure documents filed by Hillary Clinton last week revealed that the couple have earned about $25 million for delivering 104 paid speeches since January 2014.
To summarize: Hillary Clinton and Hubby Bubba rake in a fortune – and I do literally mean a fortune – from hugely rich benefactors who who have issues before the government…for doing nothing other than showing up and chatting for a while.
How much for how little? Well, at $315,000 for 20 minutes, ebay paid her $15,750 a minute. Is that enough to make the point?
And if you use the link I\’ve provided and continue reading, you\’ll find the above excerpt only scratches the surface. There is more. A lot more.
Can anyone in his/her right mind think that someone being paid off this much by people this rich can possibly have any sincere connection to average people? And if she had no sincere connection to average people, why would average people believe she will give a damn about them if elected President?
I\’m just waiting for someone to tell me “Ok, she\’s full of crap when it comes to the little people. But what about her accomplishments?”
Please, someone. Do it. Try giving us a list of Hillary Clinton\’s “accomplishments”.
Make my day.
