It is 9:22 AM. As I type this, WTI (West Texas Intermediate) oil is trading at $42.31 a barrel.
A couple of weeks ago, when oil dropped below $45 a barrel, gas prices fell to the $1.70-1.75 a gallon range. Then, when oil kicked back up to the low $50\’s, gas jumped to well over $2 a gallon.
Now oil is $2.50 lower than the lowest we saw weeks ago.
So why are the gas prices still well above $2 a gallon now…other than the oil companies screwing us over?
Just asking.
