The latest on Sheldon Silver, just two months ago, one of the two most powerful men in New York State (the Governor might – might – have been more powerful), has been indicted by a Grand Jury on three of the five federal corruption charges he was originally accused of.

His career as a power broker?  Over.  Period.

His career as a state assemblyman?  Well, he still is one, and either will or will not resign.  Indeterminate.

His capacity to damage New York Governor Andrew Cuomo?  Huge.  Read all about it in my January 24th blog.

Will that be his leverage to get off?  Will Mr. Silver, who certainly knows a little something about hardball, make it plain that either these charges go away or Andrew Cuomo\’s future does?

This started interesting, has gotten more and more interesting, and has the potential to become monumentally interesting.

Stay tuned.
