Today\’s quote comes to us from the President of the United States, Barack Obama.
Here is what Mr. Obama had to say about the radical Islamists of ISIS burning a captured Jordanian pilot alive:
“Should in fact this video be authentic, it\’s just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization. And I think we will redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of the global coalition to make sure that they are degraded and ultimately defeated.
“It also indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they are operating off of, it\’s bankrupt. We\’re here to talk about how to make people healthier and make their lives better. And this organization appears only interested in death and destruction.”
This organization? Which organization would that be, Mr. President? Can you think of a name?
Vigilance and determination on the part of the global coalition? You mean the vigilance and determination which has resulted in ISIS taking over large swaths of Iraq and Syria, while killing untold thousands of people along the way for not being Islamic enough for their tastes?
Whatever ideology they are operating off of? Are you trying to convince us that a group which calls itself the Islamic State, demands strict adherence to Islamic shari\’a law, and kills people because they are not sufficiently Islamic, has not made its ideology clear enough for you to notice?
I award President Obama Quote Of The Day honors for making a statement so bereft of reality that it would have made Charles Dickens forget about Alice In Wonderland, and write Barack In Blunderland instead.
