Was Barack Obama a Muslim? When did he convert? Is his connection to Islam why he will not identify Islamic terrorists for who they are? Does it explain his obvious animosity toward Israel?
To even ask this question, let alone attempt to answer it, is to be called a mouth-breathing lunatic and a lot worse, by a great many people who don\’t have the slightest idea who and what a Muslim is. So I have decided not to answer it personally, but to have Islamic clerics do so instead.

Firstly:The child who is born to two Muslim parents is ruled to be a Muslim,according to scholarly consensus.
Ifthe parents have different religions, then the child follows the onewho is Muslim, whether it is the father or the mother.
Butif after reaching puberty he says or does something that indicatesthat he is not content with Islam, then he is to be regarded as anapostate and is to be treated as one who has apostatised from thereligion of Islam.
In other words, whatever Barack Obama says he is notwithstanding, his status in the Islamic world is that was born a Muslim – and stayed one until he was old enough to reject the religion, thus become an apostate; a kaafir (i.e. an infidel). Anyone know when that took place?
Please also keep in mind that Barack Obama\’s biological father, and stepfather, were both Muslim, and that when he was enrolled in school during the first two of his four childhood years spent in Indonesia (1967-1971), his religion was classified as “Islam”.
Doubt me? Well, here is the top part of an Associated Press photo of his enrollment page, as Barry Soetoro (the name he then used), at the Santo Fransiskus Assisis school in Jakarta. As you can see, the religion is listed as “Islam” (and the citizenship as “Indonesia” – but that\’s for another blog).
And before you tell me that this was a Christian school, please be aware that a) it accepted Islamic students and b), in any event, was a Catholic school and Barack Obama has never claimed to be Catholic – therefore it had no relevance to Barack Obama/Barry Soetoro\’s religious upbringing.
Young Barry attended this school for two years. He then moved to the (Islamic) Basuki School (1969-1971) – which, like Santo Fransiskus Assisis, accepted children of various faiths, not just Muslims and, to the best of my knowledge, did not require them to adhere to Islamic teachings. Incidentally, the idea that the Basuki school was a madrassah (Islamic religious school) was raised during the 2008 campaign — but not by Republicans. Ironically, the person who introduced that charge to the campaign was none other than Hillary Clinton.
Now you have the facts – the ones that most mainstream media, for their own purposes, have barely reported. The ones without which it would seem impossible to make an informed judgment about Barack Obama\’s religious background.
Never let anyone else do your thinking for you: especially someone with less knowledge than you have, who thinks that sneering out a few insults will settle the issue. It won\’t.
