Al Jazeera\’s US network – the one they made Al Gore even richer with when they bought his failed Current TV network and turned it into an anonymous arm of the Qatar propaganda machine – appears to be disintegrating.
From Brian Flood\’s piece at adweek.com:
TVNewserhas learned that Al Jazeera America will eliminate all morningnews programming.
AlJazeera America plans to air programming from Al Jazeera\’s mainstudios in Qatar in the mornings, U.S. time. AJAM has beencutting costs drastically, including on costly remotes and liveshots. Just last week, the network cut backon the use of a second New Yorks studio.
I can\’t say that I will miss mornings with Al Jazeera, or any other part of its broadcasting day – though, ironically, one of my dearest friends watches it because, while he in no way agrees with its political lean, the network provides certain elements of Middle East coverage no one else does.
Other than him, I wonder who will even notice this is happening.
