THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from tom wilcox, a BBC reporter.

In Paris, to cover the march, wilcox interviewed a Jewish woman who mentioned that Jews are a target – hardly surprising, given that a kosher supermarket was singled out for a mass murder, and the attack was conducted at a specific time the store was likely to do the most business (just before the Sabbath).

wilcox\’s rejoinder?

“Manycritics, though, of Israel\’s policy would suggest that thePalestinians suffer hugely at Jewish hands as well”

Great answer, tom.  Your point is what?  That, since there are people who feel that “Palestinians” suffer hugely at the hands of Jews, French Jews should not be worried about last week\’s attack?  They should all just shut the eff up and let it happen, because they deserve it?

That is breathtakingly sick anti-Semitism.  Even by BBC standards.

Point of order: I have no doubt that joseph goebbels and joachim von Ribbentrop would have concurred wholeheartedly on this point.  But, somehow, I doubt the average French Jew (and there are about 500,000 of them) is on board with the idea of collective guilt, based on accusations by those nice folks whose charter calls for the vaporizing of Israel and the death of every Jew – in Israel or anywhere else.

Note to tom wilcox:  Almost 20% of Israel\’s population is Palestinian Arab….and they enjoy more rights and freedoms, in Israel, than Arabs are able to get in any Arab country on the face of the earth.  Specifically, they can vote in free elections – men and women both – they can travel freely throughout the country, work in any industry, own, buy and sell land, serve in government and even serve in the Israeli Knesset (there are 12 Palestinian Arabs in the Knesset right now),  You might want to read this commentary by syndicated columnist Deroy Murdock to see just how extensive the Arab presence is in everyday Israeli life.

Maybe that looks like “huge suffering” to you, tom wilcox.  But it doesn\’t to me.

In fact, armed with this possibly newfound knowledge, you even might want to consider the possibility that maybe, just maybe, the problems with “Palestinians” in Gaza and Judea/Samaria (the west bank) have more to do with their commitment to the destruction of Israel and death to all Jews than some nationwide plot to inflict huge suffering on “Palestinians”.

I award tom wilcox Quote Of The Day honors for exposing himself as a vacuous anti-Semitic moron.  But look at the bright side:  it may be the closest thing to insightful investigative reporting he ever does.
