UPDATE: Well, that didn\’t take long. Boehner re-elected speaker. There were 25 dissenters; not enough to oust him.
There might be some inclination on the part of Boehner and his supporters to “punish” these 25. In my opinion that would not be a smart thing to do.
But, then again, doing the smart thing is now always how politics is played.
We\’ll soon find out one way or the other.
