IS CUBA OUR NEWEST SYRIA, IRAN, ETC.?

Is Cuba the latest foreign policy failure for Barack Obama – a President who has a record of foreign policy failures that already is among the most (un)impressive in United States history?

Why do I say this? The first three paragraphs from Mary Anastasia O\’Grady\’s article for the Wall Street Journal should provide a pretty clear answer:

Whoand where are the 53 Cuban political prisoners that President Obamapromised would be freed by Havana as part of a deal to liberate threeconvicted Cuban spies serving lengthy sentences in the U.S.?

Iasked the State Department this last week. State referred me to theWhite House. White House officials declined to provide the list ofnames citing “concern that publicizing it would make it moredifficult to ensure that Cuba follows through, and continues withfurther steps in the future.”

Bottomline: The U.S. government cannot confirm that they have been releasedand is not certain they\’re going to be released, even though thethree Cuban spies have already been returned.

The incompetence, the ineptitude, the flat out stupidity of this administration is breathtaking.

A partial list:

-Syria: a red line that could not be crossed, but was crossed without a thing happening to al-assad, followed by ISIS – you know, the “jayvee squad” Obama talked about one year ago this month – taking over much of the country and at least as much of Iraq, during a beheading spree that continues to this day.

-Iran: a “deal” that freed up billions of their dollars and opened their doors to international trade, predicated on them ending development of nuclear weapons….which it is clear to everyone they have completely ignored.

-Israel: A friend and ally that the administration treats as if it were an adversary.

-And now Cuba.

We give everything up-front.  They make promises that they have no intention of keeping, since Obama & Co. won\’t do a thing about it.  Over and over again.

Two more years until this nightmare ends.  I won\’t come a second too soon.
