Very interesting, very illuminating column by Brent Bozell and Tim Graham at newsbusters.org, about how Comedy Central (or DNComedy Central, it seems) is acting as an arm of the Hillary For President campaign.
You can use the link I’ve provided to read it all. Meanwhile, here are a few excerpts:
No one doubts that the “fake news” shows on Comedy Central are propaganda organs for liberalism. NPR and MSNBC hosts have swooned over the soothing satirical nightcaps for the snarky liberal.
In the March 16 episode of the millennial-female sitcom Broad City, the buffoonish main character (played by Ilana Glazer) volunteers for the Hillary for President campaign – so enthusiastically she put “Rodham” in her name, as in “Ilana Rodham Wexler.”
Her Clinton-campaign supervisor advises the volunteers on proper messaging to potential Hillary voters over the phone: “But just remind them succinctly that a vote for Hillary is a vote for the working class,” she says.
The supervisor adds, as Ilana nods enthusiastically, “It’s really important to remind people of Hillary’s service. Not only was she Secretary of State. She was a practicing lawyer. She expanded health insurance for lower income families. And she’s won a Grammy.” To which Ilana sounded like she had a sexual reaction, and added: “I did not know that!”
Comedy Central should register as a super PAC.
This is one of many, many examples where a supposedly non-political entertainment venue tosses in politically partisan material…which preponderantly supports Democrats and politically correct positions. Try and find any from the other side. I dare you.
It is also why I laugh when people tell me “well, yeah, MSNBC is liberal (which, actually, it is not; I distinguish between liberality and obeisance to the left), but you also have Fox, so that evens things out.
No it doesn’t. Not even close.
