Today\’s quote comes to us from Cornell Brooks, the President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
Sitting down? I hope so.
Mr. Brooks was asked about Michael Brown\’s stepfather, Louis Head, screaming “Burn the bitch down”, which was immediately followed by the people around him screaming it, which was soon followed by a large part of Ferguson\’s main street being burned down.
His response?
“Idon\’t think that was a call for violence or it caused violence.”
Naaahh, of course not.
I award Cornell Brooks Quote Of The Day honors for showing so clearly why I have so little regard for the NAACP anymore.
