My congratulations to the Washington Post – though it is shameful that they should be congratulated.
Let me explain.
Here are the first two paragraphs of today\’s Page 1 article, titled “Obama Administration Predicts Significantly Lower Health Care Enrollment”:
The Obama administration predicted Monday that the number of people with health coverage through the Affordable Care Act\’s insurance marketplaces will be significantly lower by the end of next year than previous government estimates.
Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell announced that, by the end of 2015, 9 million to 9.9 million Americans probably will be in health plans sold through the federal and state insurance exchanges created under the health-care law. The administration\’s expectations are as much as roughly 30 percent beneath the most recent prediction of the Congressional Budget Office – that 13 million people will have health coverage through these exchanges next year.
Congratulations, too, to Fox News which also reported this obviously major news.
And as for the networks?
As I blogged yesterday, neither CBS nor NBC nor ABC bothered to tell their viewers about the ObamaCare shortfall in last night\’s news shows
And the New York Times has news of this buried deep within their first section, as if it had no importance at all.
But read Scott Whitlock\’s blog at newsbusters.org, and see how, earlier this year, these same networks reported the news (now debunked) that ObamaCare had met its enrollment goal. As you will see, the difference is breathtaking.
How low has mainstream media sunk, that congratulations are in order for a major news organization simply reporting the news.
The Obama Administration\’s Accomplice Media: how in the world can these paid propagandists claim to be journalists? How can they even face themselves in the mirror?
