Today\’s quote comes to us from Grammy-winning singer Patti Austin. This is how she tried to convince a rally of mostly Black citizens in Georgia to vote on election day:
“There\’sa lot of an angry white men out there. Andthey\’re old. And they\’re trying to hang on to their pots of gold.So go vote.”
This was presumably done in the name of Democrat Senate candidate Michelle Nunn – who has yet to condemn it as the ugly overtly racist appeal it obviously is.
I award Patti Austin Quote Of The Day honors, for showing us – again, as we have seen over and over during this midterm campaign – that racism is perfectly acceptable, as long as it benefits Democrats…
…with “honorable” mentions to Michelle Nunn and Jason Carter, the Democrat candidate for Governor – both of whom would benefit by increased Black turnout, but neither of whom have the integrity to speak out against racist garbage like this.
