Did the CDC tell nurse Amber Vinson that it was OK for her to fly to Cleveland? According to Megyn Kelly, she says it did.
CDC Director thomas freiden, has already made himself look ridiculous by coming on TV with his vacuous Guy Smiley persona, and making comments so absurd that an average 7 year old would shake his/her head in amazement (like, for example, that banning flights between the USA and West Africa would spread rather than contain ebola). For that alone he should be out of a job.
But if it is true that the freiden-led CDC actually gave Ms. Vinson the go-ahead to fly to Cleveland, even though she was displaying ebola-like symptoms? They should be cleaning his desk out as I type these words.
President Obama has just canceled two days of fundraisers and campaign rallies, presumably to deal with the burgeoning ebola crisis (a more cynical appraisal is that, for strictly political reasons, he is just trying to look like he\’s on top of something he\’s never been on top of). But how can hMr. Obama credibly look like he\’s handling it if he keeps someone like freiden in place?
When is enough enough?
