….can someone explain to me why The Weather Channel currently says the high temperature in our township today will be 70 degrees, the low will be 61….and the current temperature is 53?

Ok, back to politics – where inherently wrong statistics and sequences which make absolutely no sense are the rule rather than the exception.

UPDATE: Must be the moon phase. I just got an email from CVS Pharmacy that is as nutty as the weather forecast.
Its headine? “CVS Beauty Club. Ken, 20% Beauty Coupon!”
First of all, as a guy I don\’t much expect my good looks (assuming I had them) to be referred to as “beauty”. Where I come from “handsome” is more associated with men than “beauty”…though I admit that my wife sometimes tells me I\’m “a beaut” (she occasionally adds a word between “a” and “beaut” but propriety dictates I not mention it).
Regarding the coupon: why would I pay money to get me to 20% beauty? If I wanted to be beautiful I might be induced to pay four or five times so I could get to 80% or 100%. But 20% is just plain out of the question. Why pay for what you already have?
Ok, enough. Again back to politics, where “you\’re a ___________beaut”, all too often, is less an insult than it is a qualitative judgment.
