Turkey is the latest member of the “coalition” against ISIS.

Turkey, headed by the Islamist recep tayyip erdogan – who, despite his apparent love of shari\’a law and hatred of Israel is not close to being acceptable to ISIS – is watching the fall of Kobani, a Syrian town right on the Turkish border.
erdogan may not be a good head of state, but he\’s also not a stupid one. He knows that Turkey – with borders on both Syria and Iraq, both of which are being overrun by ISIS, is likely to be next. So of course he is going to support anti-ISIS activity.
This isn\’t altruism. This isn\’t principle. This is self-preservation.
