Anyone who thinks that Democrats\’ motives in supporting the tidal wave of illegal Latino aliens into the country is altruistic is living in a dream world.
The idea is to get them in, immediately get them as many “rights” as possible – and then, in short order, demand that since they are here and have all these rights they should have the vote too.
Here is one of the many examples of this strategy in progress, via excerpts from Carl Campanile\’s article for the New York Post:
Illegalaliens in New York could score billions in Medicaid and collegetuition money – along with driver\’s licenses, voting rights andeven the ability to run for office – if Democrats win control ofthe state Senate in November, The Post has learned.
Alittle-known bill, dubbed “New York is Home,” would offer themost sweeping amnesty available anywhere in the country to nearly 3million noncitizens living in the Empire State.
Itwould bar police from releasing any information about them to thefeds, unless it involves a criminal warrant unrelated to theirimmigration status.
Underthe proposed legislation, undocumented immigrants could also applyfor professional licenses and serve on juries.
BronxSen. Gustavo Rivera, who is sponsoring the legislation in the upperchamber, said he thinks the bill would be in position to be passed”if we have a stable Democratic majority in the Senate.”
“It\’ssomething I believe in,” Rivera said Sunday night. “It\’ssomething the state can do and should do.”
Any doubt about the motivation here? Or, put another way, do you think Mr. Rivera and his likeminded cohorts would be pushing this incredible legislation, this assault on United States immigration laws, if they perceived that the people in question would be voting Republican?
This is a cynical political power-play, designed to subvert federal immigration laws, so that Democrats can virtually “own” New York (and, via similar political moves, other states as well).
And all that is necessary to get “New York is Home” to the Governor\’s desk is the election of enough Democrats to push it through New York State\’s legislature.
Let\’s hope that doesn\’t happen.
