Apropos of nothing political…
From an article at the Hindustan Times:
Ina pleasant surprise, an Italian businessman discovered five pearlsworth 2,000 euros inside an oyster he ordered at a restaurant.
GiuseppeDi Bianco, an executive at Poste Italiane in Italy, found the gems atNonna Maria restaurant in Salerno, Italy.
DiBianco, who was out on a date with his girlfriend, called up therestaurant and asked the manager to prepare some clams ahead of theirvisit, only to be told there were none in stock, \’The Local\’reported.
DiBianco then pleaded with the manager to replenish supplies, saying hehad promised his girlfriend.
Accordingto the \’Il Mattino\’ newspaper, the manager then brought fresh oystersfrom the nearby fish market.
Thecouple was served their oysters and when Di Bianco opened one ofthem, he found five pearls inside which could be worth around 2,000euros, the report said.
Now that is a lucky diner. Not only because he found the pearls, but because if, instead of taking a look, he took a bite, that might have been 2,000 euros in dental bills instead.
Ok, back to politics, where instead of an irritated oyster creating pearls, we have too many barnacles creating irritation.
