ENTEROVIRUS 68: A MEXICAN IMPORT?

Excerpted from Gillian Mohney and Dean Schabner\’s article at ABC News:

Arespiratory illness that has already sickened more than a thousandchildren in 10 states is likely to become a nationwide problem, doctors say.

Thedisease hasn\’t been officially identified but officials suspect arare respiratory viruscalled human enterovirus 68. According to the U.S. Centers forDisease Control and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, thevirus is related to the rhinovirus, which causes the common cold.

Accordingto Mark Pallansch, director of the Division of Viral Diseases at theCDC, similar cases to the ones in Colorado have been cropping upacross the U.S. At least 10 states — Missouri, Kansas, Illinois,Kentucky, Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Georgia– have reported suspected outbreaks of human enterovirus 68 andrequested CDC support.

“Virusesdon\’t tend to respect borders,” ABC News Chief Health andMedical Editor Dr. Richard Besser said. “It is only 10 statesnow, but it\’s going to be across the country. So if your statedoesn\’t have it now, watch for it, it\’s coming.”

I have a question – one that I\’m betting most readers have as well: do these outbreaks coincide with where the Obama administration is sending illegal alien minors across the country?

OPEN THE RECORDS and let\’s see how many of them had this condition and where they\’ve gone.

I have written for weeks about the fact that who these illegals are, the conditions under which they are being held, how completely – if at all – they are being checked – to see if they are sick or well, whether they are gang/drug cartel members, etc, where they are being sent, who their new guardians are, and what schools they are going to be attending, have been hidden from the public.  Even from congresspeople who are being denied access to where they are being held along the border.

If these illegal minors are not the cause of this outbreak, it would do the Obama administration enormous good to make this public.  If they are, it would do the Obama administration enormous damage to make this public.

Whether or not these records are opened – something which should have been the case from day one, with or without the enterovirus 68 issue – will give us the answer.

One other point:  if this were the Bush administration, how long do you suppose it would have taken for mainstream media to be howling for answers at the top of their lungs?  Screaming that children around the country might be at risk because of the administration\’s actions and demanding in the strongest terms possible that all such records immediately be opened?

Are they so completely subjugated by Barack Obama that they won\’t do so now?  Whether or not they demand these records are opened – something which should have been the case from day one, with or without the enterovirus 68 issue – will give us the answer to that as well.
