Today’s quote – and it is a study in both hypocrisy and unregenerate BS – comes to us from Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairperson of the House Intelligence Committee.
Here is Schiff’s tweet regarding President Trump’s decision to declassify material relating to the start of the Mueller investigation:
While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice,
Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.
The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase.
This is un-American.
This is truly stunning.
Let’s start with the fact that the mueller report both cleared President Trump of collusion and stated, unequivocally, that there was not enough evidence to pursue even one count of obstruction of Justice. So the truth is that Schiff’s claim is absolute, Grade A, unadulterated BS…
… as is Schiff’s incredible contention that releasing information is somehow weaponizing law enforcement against Trump’s enemies. No, Mr. Schiff, releasing information is releasing information; i.e. giving us the actual facts instead of your doctored version of them. Boo hoo.
As for calling the release of this information “unamerican”, that is, arguably, the single most idiotic thing he has ever said…which, given the sheer amount of material Schiff has given us to work with, is a genuine accomplishment.
I award Adam Schiff Quote Of The Day “honors”, for outdoing himself in pumping out utter BS, and for his disdain for the public by, presumably, expecting us to believe that BS.
Adam Schiff makes me want to puke.
