There are people who believe that Michael Brown was a young thug who butted up against a police officer, threatened him, went after him, and got what he deserved.
That might be true.
There are people who believe that Officer Darren Wilson was a rogue cop, maybe with a tick up his tail for Black kids, who started up with one, got a bit of a rise out of him, and seized the opportunity to gun him down in the street.
That might be true.
We have all seen the video surveillance of Brown apparently robbing a store and roughing up its owner (or clerk – apparently it is not clear which). To some, that ends the issue.
But it does not end anything. Not every police officer is a good one. And, while we do not know that Officer Wilson is one of the bad ones, we don\’t know he isn\’t either.
We have all heard the sharptons, jacksons and their pals making it plain that they equate “justice for Michael Brown” with Darren Wilson being indicted…and, presumably, charged, convicted and sentenced.
It isn\’t. Not if Wilson acted properly.
Asking again, as I have in previous blogs: can we please wait for the facts to come out?
