…here are the thoughts of the Washington Post\’s left wing, Obama-loving Dana Milbank on today\’s Morning Joe show:
“Here\’sthe thing, he is — how can he get around this vacation problem here?Heis very stubborn when it comes to getting out there on the golfcourse. PresidentBush said, look, after his famous “Watch this drive”moment, he said, look, I\’m going to give up golf for the rest of myterm. The president isn\’t doing that.But why isn\’t he as forceful when it comes to, say, gettingunemployment insurance through, when it comes to getting more of hisdomestic agenda through,gun control, all the other things where he seems to give a speech andthen tiptoe away from it. Ifhe could be as stubborn as he is about continuing his golf game aboutsome of his domestic policies, I think we might get some moreresults.”
I could not agree more with Mr. Milbank\’s assessment – though I must admit I have a different reason than he does.
If playing golf gets in the way of an agenda that, among other things, has given us
-twice the national deficit of every other President combined in the history of the country,
-a free pass for illegals to stay here (and, of course, vote in short order – don\’t doubt for a second that this isn\’t the true purpose),
-and maybe coming up with other unworkable monstrosities like ObamaCare,
then I say play two rounds every day until January 20th, 2017.
