THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Muhammad Hamdan, a spokesman for the Palestinian Authority (PA) Transportation Ministry .

It is in response to Israel’s announcement that Israel has halted the import of tires into the Gaza Strip until further notice.

Mr. Hamdan tells us:

“There is no doubt stopping tire imports will have a negative effect on Palestinians in Gaza especially considering there is shortage of them there,” he said. “We are going to exert all efforts so that Israel reverses its decision.”

What Mr. Hamdan conveniently left out was that tire imports were halted only after Palestinian Arab “protesters”, under the auspices of hamas, put hundreds of tires on the Israeli border last Friday and lit them up to make it difficult for Israeli soldiers to see them storm the borders, presumably to get into Israeli territory and conduct attacks there.

Funny thing; Gaza’s tire shortage somehow wasn’t an issue then.

I award Muhammad Hamdan Quote Of The Day “honors” for sheer chutzpah – enough so that if chutzpah were tires, Gaza would not only have no shortage, it would be a major exporter.
