MEXICO’S THREAT TO WITHHOLD BORDER COOPERATION

Sometimes you read this stuff and can’t believe your eyes.

From an Associated Press article, via the Washington Examiner, we have this howler:

Mexican senators are urging President Enrique Pena Nieto to temporarily suspend cooperation with the U.S. on immigration and security issues, responding to angry tweets from President Donald Trump about their country.

The nonbinding statement was approved unanimously Wednesday. It asks Mexico’s government to freeze joint efforts “in the fight against transnational organized crime” until Trump acts “with the civility and respect that the people of Mexico deserve.”

Pena Nieto told reporters his government is waiting for clarifications about U.S. intentions to send troops to the border before presenting a “very clear” position on the issue.

Yeah, OK, right.

Mexico threatening to withhold cooperation on the U.S. Border is like hamas threatening to withhold cooperation on the Israeli border.  What, exactly, is the threat?  What would be withheld?

Did I miss something, or – until President Trump acted decisively to prevent it – wasn’t Mexico in the process of proudly facilitating a march of illegal aliens from Central America – aliens Mexico was not about to take in – through the country so they could illegally breach our border?

Which part of that says “cooperation with the U.S.” to you?

And isn’t Mexico the country from which about 10% of its entire population has left to come to the United States – many of them, if not most, illegally?

WHY?  Because the Mexican government has made it such a wonderful place for them to live?

So keep threatening us, Mexico.  And, when you do, remember; it is no longer Barack Obama receiving your threats.  Maybe that will cause you to think twice.

Final thought:  when do our wonderful,  “neutral” media start talking about why so many Mexicans leave their country to come here.  And why so many Hondurans, Salvadorans, Guatemalans, etc. flee their countries, get to Mexico…and then keep going instead of seeking asylum there.

Mexico has a lot to answer for – hypocrisy being high on its list.  And mainstream media, as they ignore the realities which cause our border issues, have every bit as much to answer for.

How do they call themselves journalists?  How do they even look themselves in the mirror?
