FROM THE PALESTINIAN ARAB “NEGOTIATOR”……

This dose of alternate reality comes to us via Abu Khaled Abu Toameh’s article for the Times of Israel:

Senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat on Saturday accused the Trump administration of trying depose the Palestinian leadership in a “coup” and told the “impudent” US envoy to the United Nations Nikki Haley she should “shut up” with her criticism of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Erekat, who has led the Palestinian peace negotiations and is secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organization, singled out Haley, who slammed Abbas for a recent speech that was full of anti-Semitic tropes.

Erekat said that Haley’s “impudence” has gone as far as calling for removing Abbas from power.

“She called for overthrowing the democratically elected Palestinian president,” Erekat complained in an interview with the Palestinian Al-Watan Voice news website.

“This is the president who led the peace process and promoted the principle of the two-state solution,” Erekat said, referring to Abbas. “Now this [US] ambassador is accusing him of lacking courage, and is calling for replacing him.”

Only the Palestinian people have that right, he said. “The Palestinian people are loyal to their martyrs, prisoners, wounded, struggles, steadfastness, and heroism. This is the reality. The Palestinians are the only ones who are entitled to hold their leaders accountable.”

Translation:  “Palestinian” leadership is entitled to a free field of anti-Semitic attacks, as it pretends to want “negotiations” – which have resulted in the rejection of every offer ever made for a two-state solution, no matter how much is given to them.

We’re supposed to ignore every action, every statement and the hamas charter which fatah signed onto, and keep believing that Palestinian Arabs want anything other than the complete obliteration of Israel and every Jew there (and elsewhere) dead.

Oh, by the way, if erekat actually was worried about “the democratically elected Palestinian president”, maybe it would be a good idea to elect one.  The current Palestinian president, mahmoud abbas, was elected in 2005, to a four year term.  New elections were never held.

abbas, therefore, is about as democratically elected as kim jung-un.

Let me end by thanking Ambassador Nikki Haley, and President Trump for taking a position on these lying frauds that should have been in place a long time ago.

If what we have to lose is that they hate us, hate Israel, and won’t negotiate…..it seems to me we haven’t lost any ground at all.

  • Israel is fully committed to, and in fact, has implemented a two state (one Israeli, one Palestinian) solution. The Israelis are fine with that.
The hang up now, is the demand by the US, UN, Europe, etc that Israel
Presently, there is Israel (one of the states), and there is Gaza (thagree to a THREE STATE solution.e other state). Even Johnny Kerry knows that ONE plus ONE equals TWO.
In 2005, Israel declared Gaza to be independent, and withdrew all Israelis (civilian and military) from Gaza. They left the front door keys and the TV remote on the kitchen table for the Palestinian Authority. (And a lot of advanced agricultural infrastructure to serve existing markets in Europe — equipment which the Arabs destroyed immediately.)
So, the PA took over Gaza, and were soon expelled (as in thrown off roof tops) by Hamas. Hamas controls Gaza to this day. Hamas’ charter commits it to the destruction of Israel.
The corrupt PA, under Abbas, is detested in the West Bank, and would certainly lose the next election (the 2009 and subsequent elections were never held). When 82 year old Mahmoud Abbas leaves office/expires, Hamas will be in control of the West Bank.
So, Israel is expected to cuddle up to Hamas. Hamas, which digs terror tunnels to infiltrate into Israeli towns. Hamas, which daily calls for the destruction of Israel and the murder of all its citizens, and which fires rockets to terrorize Israeli civilians. Hamas, which will never adhere to any agreement.
So far, the rest of the world has made a complete mess of the Middle East – Libya, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon. Tunisia, Hezbulloh, Hamas, PA, al Q’aeda, ISIS, Muslim Brotherhood, etc.
