John Hinderaker, the always-worth-reading contributor to powerlineblog.com, has written an epic takedown of New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg’s apologia for Al Franken (and other liberal/left sexual predators).

But the link comes with a warning; one which is directed at Republicans/conservatives who are reveling in the discomfort of one after another liberal/left personality being taken down this way.
Do not doubt for one second that these criteria will, in the very near future, be used against President Trump.
Do not doubt for one second that if an unreconsituted leftist like Michelle Goldberg agonizes over whether someone like Al Franken should have to resign based on his behavior, and a relatively solid conservative never-Trumper like John Podhoretz can demand that Roy Moore step down based on a series of well-timed, unproven allegations about events from decades ago, Donald Trump is on deck for both of them.
If you dislike Trump as much as both Goldberg and Podhoretz do, this should be thrilling news. If you do not, it should keep you up at night. Either way, do not doubt that his takedown is the main event. And that the effort to make it happen, from anti-Trump people on both sides of the political aisle, is coming.
