Today’s quote comes to us from Hillary Clinton.
My previous blog referenced a comment Hillary Clinton made yesterday, during an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of husband Bill’s ascension to the presidency.
Today’s quote was also made during that event.
In talking about Donald Trump, as she incessantly does, Ms. Clinton said this about her husband’s presidency:
“He didn’t tweet about it, he got to work about it and he actually got it done”
Well, in fairness to Ms. Clinton, we can argue over President Clinton’s effectiveness, but certainly not about the fact that he didn’t tweet about it.
See, President Clinton left office in January of 2001, and twitter.com was launched in 2006.
On the other hand, given Hillary Clinton’s memory of events (“I don’t know” and “I can’t recall” being two of her favorite rejoinders every time she is investigated), maybe, if properly motivated (a large contribution to the Clinton Foundation will do) she can tell us about other people’s tweets during that year…the same way she was able to tell us about sniper fire in Bosnia or that there was no classified material in the emails she deleted and scrubbed.
I award Hillary Clinton Quote Of The Day “honors” for her apparent use of Professor Brown’s Time Machine, which took her either back to the future or forward to the past. Or something.
