When President Obama and his fellow Democrats ignore our laws and facilitate the entry of hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America, they are also facilitating the entry of the diseases – including tuberculosis, scabies, and others – which we have largely eradicated, but now will have to deal with again.
That\’s a little “dividend” of ignoring our borders that Mr. Obama\’s Accomplice Media seem averse to talking about.
Excerpted from Scott Greer\’s article at dailycaller.com:
TheDepartment of Homeland Security\’s report on the facilities housingthe recent flood of “unaccompanied alien children” (UAC) fromCentral America describes conditions where diseases such astuberculosis (TB) and scabies are spreading, and staff are beingexposed to human waste.
Thereport lists off the types of diseases that are becoming prevalent inthe facilities and that are requiring treatment. Theyinclude “respiratory illnesses, chicken pox, tuberculosis, andscabies.” These diseases have also spread to several DHS employeesworking at the locations, the report states.
Accordingto The World Bank, the United States has had one of the lowestincidence rates of TB in the world over the last several years.
When Mr. Obama and the people around him extol the wonderful positive attributes of pretending we don\’t have immigration laws and bringing in a tidal wave of people other countries apparently are more than happy to be rid of (have you heard any protest from Guatemala, or Honduras, or Mexico, that they are losing their populations to the USA?) somehow this part of it is not featured.
And when Rep. Luis Guitierrez (D-IL) , Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) and some of the other Democrat house members of Latino heritage happily endorse this lawbreaking and demand that it continue, somehow they don\’t get around to reminding their Latino constituents that the illegals who have these conditions are extremely likely to wind up in their neighborhoods – just as they conveniently neglect to mention the gang members who are coming in and will be recruiting their children.
Nice of them.
Yesterday the House of Representatives – virtually all Republicans in favor, virtually all Democrats against – passed legislation aimed at preventing President Obama from again acting as if he were named dictator instead of elected President, and unilaterally declaring immigration policy while congress is out of session.
I have no doubt at all that Mr. Obama will ignore this message and do so anyway. He made that more than clear in yesterday\’s press conference which was devoted to telling us what fools Republicans are for attempting such legislation, because it would never get through the Democrat-controlled Senate and, even if it did, he would veto it.
His point, in other words, is that if Republicans disagree with the President, they should not vote their beliefs, they should vote with him anyway. Brilliant.
Obviously, this issue is far from over. For anyone who doubts that it has consequences beyond a house vote or a Presidential diktat, I suggest hanging around and seeing how the midterm elections work out in November. There just might be a different look to congress….and a different Senate Majority Leader with different priorities than the one we have now.

*In discussing this with others, I have found that a lot of people don\’t know what scabies is. Scabies, also known as the “seven year itch” and “mange”, is a highly contagious skin condition caused by the parasitic mite called “sarcoptes scabiei”. Typically, once infected, it takes 4 – 6 weeks before the rash and the itching start….so large groups can be infected before they even know about the problem.
