Many years ago, when I used to ride the NY subways to work, a secretary school which developed its own form of shorthand had advertising in every car which said something like:
f u cn rd ths y cn SPEEDWRITE
Wellll, f u cn rd ths, the overnight maintenance worked.

It worked!!! I am now picturing that classic scene in the original “Frankenstein” when Dr. Frankenstein – a lot of people think that was the name of the monster, but it the doctor – screams “It’s alive! It’s alive!” (No he did not then enter his new creation in a beautiful baby contest). The actor, for whatever it means to you, was Colin Clive.
I think, due to herculean efforts on Martin’s part (and what a terrific guy he is), we are finally back to normal now. We’ll see.
