TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME IN FULL BLOOM

This is an easy one to write.  I’ll just let ABC’s Matthew Dowd do the talking – which he did on this morning’s edition of This Week:

“I think part of the problem we’re in today is the belligerent language that he’s used over the last three or four months in the midst of this. It a problem you discussed earlier that is very difficult to decide. I actually think we need to reset our entire foreign policy and assume North Korea is a nuclear power. And then how do we deter them or how do we contain them. Instead of this continued belligerence.”

Given the quality of this “analysis”, you can make a good case that the most ridiculous part of Matthew Dowd’s statement is his first two words.

Here’s a taste of reality, Mr. Dowd:

-North Korea has aspired to nuclear weaponry for many years.  And the people who, in 1994, jump-started their effort to turn aspiration into reality were not named Trump.  They were named Carter and Clinton.

The idea that Donald Trump’s “belligerent language”. which Trump utilized after the idiot ruler of North Korea told us in so many words he was going to reduce the USA to ashes, was what is causing the problem is imbecilic on steroids.

Incidentally, it has not gone unnoticed that you do not have one bad word about kim jung-un for his threats, or for Clinton and Carter for the moronic deal they cut with his equally deranged father, kim jong-il.  Only for Trump – the guy they stuck with the situation he is now dealing with.

-And what a great idea you have:  conceding North Korea’s nuclear capability and trying to “deter” and “contain”.

Maybe you’re not aware of this, Matthew, so allow me to inform you that North Korea does not currently have operational nuclear weapons.  But, as demonstrated by yesterday’s apparent successful test, after almost a quarter century of  U. S. Presidents following your advice and making nice to “deter them” and “contain them”, that time is almost here.

Since nothing that Clinton, Bush or Obama said or did stopped this regime for even one second, what do you have in mind, Matthew?  How do you intend to stop the process?  By sending kim a “let’s be friends” card from Hallmark?  Having Melania bake him a cake?

This is classic idiotica of the first order.  And ABC should be embarrassed that it trotted out Mattew Dowd to say what he did.

But, then again, this is the same network that offers its viewers George Stephanopoulos – the guy at the other end of Clinton’s umbilical cord – as a neutral Sunday morning host.  So it is pretty clear that the network’s embarrassment level has not yet been reached.

And then they wonder why fewer and fewer people trust them for honest news reporting?

Oh, brother.

  • Trump should handle north korea like Obama handled iran. Lift all sanctions. Give them an airplane load of cash in foreign notes [not credit or US currency]. Tell them it is OK to continue developing the weapons systems they are currently working on. And all north korea has to do, is agree.

    • Then Trump can kick back and watch the media fawn over him.

LOL. I couldn’t resist that joke. Like the media would ever do that.
