THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

I don\’t even have to check to know what wins Quote Of The Day honors today.

Hillary Clinton, during an interview with ABC News\’ Diane Sawyer:

“Wecame out of the White House not only dead broke but in debt…(We) struggled to, you know, piece togetherthe resources for mortgages for houses, for Chelsea\’s education, you know, it was not easy.”

That is not a misprint or a typo. She really said that.

In other words, after five terms as Governor of Arkansas during which Hillary Clinton was a senior partner at a law firm, and 8 years as a $400,000 a year President living the most regal life of virtually any other couple in the world, they struggled to make ends meet. Just like the lower-middle-class folk.

But don\’t pass around the cup just yet.  Ms. Clinton forgot to mention that there were also untold numbers of people clamoring for her and her husband – either together or individually – to appear and speak at various large corporate events – specifically because of their years in the White House.  And now they are worth an estimated $100 million dollars.

On the positive side, it is nice to see that Ms. Clinton\’s values have not changed over time.  She is as big a liar now as she always has been.

There are a lot of criteria for Quote Of The Day honors.  Chutzpah (that\’s the Yiddish word for nerve/gall) is one of them.  And since Hillary Clinton\’s statement of poverty was enough to spin the chutzpah needle three times around the meter before it flew off into the distance, she is today\’s winner.  Congratulations to her.

And congratulations to the eventual Republican Presidential nominee as well, on acquiring a comment which, if Ms. Clinton ultimately does run for President in 2016, can be used again and again to show what a phony elitist she is.
