RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATION

We spent much of yesterday with our children and grandchildren in Northern New Jersey.  That was the best.

And we brought in dinner from a sushi restaurant – Masa, in Allendale, NJ – that was terrific.  The equal of anything we have had in New York City.  If you\’re up that way, give it a try.

Oh, one other thing:  I was doing a “Mad Libs” (are you old enough to remember what “Mad Libs” is) with our 7 year old grandson, and one of the blanks he had to fill in was a language.   I thought he said “Japanese”, and wrote it down.

But then, when I read back the “story” he had created and came to the language part, he informed me that he did not say “Japanese”, he said “Javanese”, and that it was the language they speak in Indonesia.

That may be a 7 year old body, but there is not a 7 year old kid in it.

He amazes us every time we see him.  And his younger sister, in her own way, is every bit as terrific (yes, proud grandpa will work one or two anecdotes about her into this blog at some point in the future).
