John Podesta is the left wing activist who chaired Hillary Clinton’s campaign. So it is hardly surprising that he dislikes Donald Trump, the man who couldn’t beat anyone, but who beat Ms. Clinton – thus making his campaign one of the most monumentally unsuccessful in U.S. history.
Now, over a half year since the election debacle, Mr. Podesta still can’t let go – as demonstrated by the first part of Susan B. Glasser’s article for politico.com:
Donald Trump is “unfit for office,” a president whose actions are often “absolutely crazy” and whose White House has “a complete disregard for the truth.” His firing of James Comey as the FBI director was overseeing an investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 campaign and whether Trump’s advisers colluded with it amounts to “close to an obstruction case” against the president.
But, says John Podesta—the sharp-tongued campaign chairman for Hillary Clinton whose 60,000 hacked emails are at the heart of that FBI investigation into the team of the man who defeated them—don’t expect impeachment proceedings anytime soon.
Republican congressional leaders Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have chosen to “Velcro their own political fate” to Trump’s and won’t pursue allegations against the president of their own party unless forced to do so by a 2018 midterm election debacle or further revelations. “It is clear to me that Republicans on Capitol Hill are not going to begin to turn on him at this point,” Podesta says.
His scathing comments about a presidency in crisis—and the Republicans who “enable” Trump—came in an exclusive new interview for The Global Politico about Clinton’s shocking election defeat and the still-unfolding investigations swirling around Russia’s role in it.
I have a question for Mr. Podesta – and for the lapdog media which are determined not to report the major connections between Hillary Clinton’s campaign and Russia.
What about this information, via Deborah Heine’s article for pjmedia.com, from Peter Schweizer, the best-selling author of Clinton Cash?:
Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute and the author of “Clinton Cash,” explained on Fox News Tuesday how a Russia connection to the Clinton campaign and Obama presidency is much bigger and more troubling than anything Democrats have accused Team Trump of.
During his appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Schweizer alleged that Clinton campaign chair John Podesta probably violated federal law when he failed to disclose his stock holdings in a Kremlin-funded company.
“In 2011, John Podesta joins the board of this very small energy company called Joule Energy based out of Massachusetts. About two months after he joins the board, a Russian entity called Rusnano puts a billion rubles — which is about 35 million dollars — into John Podesta’s company. Now, what is Rusnano? Rusnano is not a private company, Steve. It is a fund directly funded by the Kremlin. In fact, the Russian science minister called Rusnano Putin’s child. So you have the Russian government investing in one of John Podesta’s businesses in 2011, while he is an advisor to Hillary Clinton at the State Department.”
To this day there is no evidence – let me say that again: NO EVIDENCE – of any collusion between Donald Trump or his campaign and Russia to affect the 2016 election.
But there is tons of evidence – let me say that again: TONS OF EVIDENCE – of collusion between Hillary Clinton, her campaign and Russia.
Want to see it? OK. Let me show you not one, not two, but three blogs I have written about the Clinton/Russia ties over the past two years.
And
here, for the first blog I wrote detailing Clinton’s ties to Russia – from over two years ago, and based on an article in the (Clinton-loving) New York Times, published before it was time to circle the wagons on her behalf (whoops).
Even if you don’t use the links and read all three (much though I hope you do), at least read this key segment of the Times’ article – straight from my earliest blog, dated April 23, 2015:
Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation as Russians Pressed for Control of Uranium Company.
The headline in Pravda trumpeted President Vladimir V. Putin’s latest coup, its nationalistic fervor recalling an era when the newspaper served as the official mouthpiece of the Kremlin: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.”
At the heart of the tale are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family. Members of that group built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One.
Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.
And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.
What you just read is specific evidence of the Clinton/Russia ties, none of which has, to my knowledge, ever been disputed.
But media, facts notwithstanding, continue to drive sideways (not forward, because there still is no evidence of Trump/Russia collusion) to convince the public it exists – while ignoring the objective evidence regarding Hillary Clinton and her people….
…and letting John Podesta get away with the drivel you read at the beginning of this blog.
It is nothing short of a shamefully dishonest attempt to convince voters of Donald Trump’s speculated culpability based on no evidence, while sweeping Hillary Clinton’s actual culpability, based on hard evidence, under the rug.
Unbelievable?
Nope, just the place that mainstream media in this country have descended to.
Shortly before Seth Rich was murdered podesta wrote an email stating we need to teach these leakers a lesson.
