Today\’s quote comes to us from Senator John McCain, and was aimed at our Secretary Of State, John Kerry.
Referring to Secretary Kerry\’s absolute lack of success in his current position – fully consistent with his remarkable lack of achievement in almost 30 years as a U. S. Senator – McCain had this to say:
“Secretary Kerry, I watched with great interest some of your comments. And may I say, I think you\’re about to hit the trifecta.
“Geneva II was a total collapse, as I predicted to you that it would be. The only tangible result is that people who went to Geneva for the Free Syrian National Council, their relatives were kidnapped.
“The Israeli-Palestinian talks are, even though you may drag them out for a while, are finished.
“And I predict you, even though we gave the Iranians the right to enrich, which is unbelievable, those talks will collapse too.
“On the major issues, this administration is failing very badly. On the issue of Ukraine, my hero, Teddy Roosevelt, used to say, talk softly but carry a big stick. What you\’re doing is talking strongly and carrying a very small stick – in fact, a twig”
To which I reply….yep.
Senator McCain wins Quote Of The Day honors for saying, plainly, what is fully apparent to anyone who is even remotely acquainted with the complete lack of success Kerry has managed….a lack of success that is in keeping with the 5 years of ongoing foreign policy disaster this woefully inept administration has inflicted on us.
Well, at least he isn\’t upstaging his boss….
