THE DEPORTATION NUMBERS FRAUD

If you ask the Obama people, they will tell you this administration is hugely effective in deportation of illegals – the all-time record holder, in fact, with 400,000 of them just last year.

Except….

Jessica Vaughan, of the Center For Immigration Studies, says those numbers are a fraud, a complete sham.

In the organization\’s latest yearly report (for calendar year 2013) here are a few key findings:

  • In 2013, ICE charged only 195,000, or 25 percent, out of 722,000 potentially deportable aliens they encountered. Most of these aliens came to ICE\’s attention after incarceration for a local arrest.

  • ICE released 68,000 criminal aliens in 2013, or 35 percent of the criminal aliens encountered by officers. The vast majority of these releases occurred because of the Obama administration\’s prosecutorial discretion policies, not because the aliens were not deportable.

  • ICE targeted 28 percent fewer aliens for deportation from the interior in 2013 than in 2012, despite sustained high numbers of encounters in the Criminal Alien and Secure Communities programs.

How, then, does the Obama administration generate its much higher numbers – the ones it brags about to unsuspecting people who don\’t know better?

From the latest column written by former U.S. Senator Ernest Istook, who now hosts a talk radio show and interviewed Ms. Vaughan:

“Thesenumbers show that the president is hardly the deporter-in-chief as somany of the ethnic advocacy groups have tried to paint him,” shetold me. “A better title would be releaser-in-chief … because ICEis now releasing more illegal aliens than they are trying to deportwhen their agents find them in the interior of the country.”

Howdo they manipulate the numbers?

Shedescribed a cover-up that substitutes numbers from the Border Patrol- which apprehends those who have newly crossed our borders – andusing them to pump up ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement),which is supposed to apprehend and deport violators from theinterior. Those apprehended by the Border Patrol are transferred toICE custody just before being returned to their country of origin, enabling ICE to claim a statistic but without having to enforce thelaws in the heartland.

“It\’sreally just a shell game of numbers,” Ms.Vaughan said.

And if that weren\’t bad enough, Ms. Vaughan also informs us that 68,000 illegals with criminal convictions were let go rather than deported just last year.

Does this sound like the kind of BS our current “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” administration would pull?  It sure does to me – especially since Ms. Vaughan details the techniques they are using to pull it.

Do these people ever tell the truth?

Why would we believe a word they say about anything?
