A PARDON FOR BOWE BERGDAHL?

Did you know that bowe bergdahl, the “man” who deserted his fellow soldiers in Iraq, whom soldiers who did not desert died looking for, and who President Obama traded five senior terrorists to get back is seeking a presidential pardon?

White House and Justice Department officials on Saturday said Bergdahl had submitted copies of the clemency request seeking leniency. If granted by Obama, it would allow Bergdahl to avert a court-martial trial scheduled for April where he faces charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, the latter of which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.

Bergdahl, of Hailey, Idaho, walked off his post in Afghanistan in 2009 and was held captive by the Taliban and its allies for five years. The Obama administration’s decision in May 2014 to exchange him for five Taliban prisoners being held at the U.S prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, touched off a firestorm of criticism, with some Republicans accusing Obama of jeopardizing the safety of a nation for a deserter. Lawmakers expressed outrage that the Obama administration did not give Congress a 30-day notice about transferring the detainees to Qatar, as required by law.

The obvious question here is, why in the world would President Obama possibly pardon bowe bergdahl.

The answer, sadly is because a) he already put 5 senior terrorists back into circulation for him, so why not a pardon too…and b) since virtually every foreign policy this administration has given us was a disaster, why not one more before leaving office?

I don’t know what the outcome of this request will be.  But I would not bet against that pardon.

Oh, and a special thanks to our wonderful media, who, to the best of my knowledge, not followed up on the terrorists Mr. Obama traded for bergdahl; you know, to tell us whether they’re back in the field killing people again.

I mean, why would anyone want to know about that?
